In 1969, Mario Amati, founder, and designer of Itama brought to life an idea he had cherished for years.  He started to build a new generation of exceptionally high-performance motorboats with a timeless style.  The name of the brand is simply his surname "amati" written backward. Thus began the story of this brand and the success of its instantly recognizable open yachts, a success that continues today together with Ferretti Group which acquired Itama in 2004. 

Today, Itama yachts are constructed at the Ferretti Group facility in Forli, where skilled local workers, supported by the AYT&D- Advanced Yacht Technology division & Design, and Ferretti Group's team of architects, contribute their know-how and expertise to create the famous blue and white open yachts.  The brand's flagship vessel, the Itama 75, is built at the facility in Mondolfo. 

The Itama fleet currently boasts a range of ever-improving yachts of the highest caliber, able to satisfy even the most demanding owners.  An achievement made possible by the strength of a successful group and the creativity of yacht designer Marco Casali, in close cooperation with AYT&D, and the team of architects and designers at Ferretti Group.

ITAMA 45

ITAMA 62

The new addition to the fleet, created to provide the utmost sense of freedom and independence, is a reinterpretation of the celebrated Itama FiftyFive, one of the brand’s most popular models. Contemporary design, bright interiors and optimal use of space are the innovative features of this new addition to the Itama fleet. The new mood is evident right from the concealed hydraulic gangway in the hull, and the swimming platform at the stern, which can be lowered into the water to launch and retrieve the tender. There is also a practical external free-standing shower, which is removable and provides maximum comfort even in open air. Another new feature of this model is the generous cockpit which, in addition to a large sun pad, has an extending outdoor table and a comfortable settee adjoining the helm station, with front-facing seat and chaise longue. The immediate sensation of going below decks is of great liveability, with a spacious dinette with C-shaped sofa. Opposite this is the galley, equipped to provide maximum comfort for those on board.
